Read the for more information on member tracks. Description: OK, I finally managed to find a song name, so here it is. But the genre is still open. I started this song with the wahwah background track, I think I wanted to go in the triphop direction but when I played with it and tried out things I added some Tabla sounds from the available sound library of the cubase software to it, just to get a feel for it. It sounded right somehow, and so it developed from there.
As before, we did the work on wikiloops band section: bhunt1 (Brian) on Bass added his track, and rp3drums (Raymond) on drums (one straight drum track, and one para-diddle track). I then added several more guitar tracks. So I would be happy to listen to your comments and advice, and if I get a good suggestion for name and genre I will change it.
Cheers, TG:D. Description: Pure electro semi-bangin' dance music featuring no guitars, bass guitar or banjo but a shitload of synths and programmed drum hits and loops. Main lead instrument is a programmed electronic banjo that I'd say is unusual in dance music. Trancey sawtooth synths, ribbitting frog synths, space mice synths, squelchy synths, arp synths, semen synths (not really) multiple synth basses, vocoded djembes, regular djembes, tabla hits and other percussion. My customary intricate detail and heavy layering. Quite a different sound for me - almost getting into clubland with this one but also some damn strange electro space creature leads.
Tempo is only 96 BPM but it sometimes feels maybe 20 BPM faster. No big genre changes and none of my usual funk, blues, rock, jazz, hip hop, grunge etc. But it's still pretty psychedelic, very far out and, hopefully, a ton or ten of fun. This track is the 2nd part of this:Tribal Warfare Feel free to disagree with anything and/or tell me you're my biggest fan (who isn't also a stalker, unless you're female and very beautiful but not crazy). All hail the synthesizer!
Especially the software ones all conveniently housed in one DAW (only Reason used here). Enjoy the cosmic tribal funk. Description: Holy holy holy crap.
I used a boatload of loops and pellas from Looperman on this - it's a MONSTER collab! 'Consequences' starring. Roseerin - SICK house glitch JJWeekz - Consequences pella BabyGee - Game Over hook Janis71 - haaaa backup vocals Apocalypze - dance hats Hamood - tom and tabla Hamood - ethnic oud Joefunktastic - trap keys mrfunktastic - warp synth All other sounds came from GarageBand sound bank. Dare I say I recycled a bass line from another track of mine?

First one to tell me which track, wins! I couldn't help it.it just fit.:) The biggest challenge was matching off BPM's from the different loops and pellas. Hopefully I've mapped everything ok. Give a listen.I appreciate any feedback. Description: Ttabbla (ft. Mhyst and FutureAnalysis) I found a superb app called iTablaPro which marvellously recreates tabla drum sounds along with Tampura (drone) accompaniment.
Annoyingly though it doesn't have a record facility or any means of exporting a performance into another app. But I wanted to use tablas in my next tune so I started looking around on the web and discovered the excellent Looperman site where I not only found tablas but also some superb accapella downloads which are also featured in this track. Workflow: Having located tabla loops and vocals as described above I began by laying down the tabla loops in Multitrack DAW and then loosely positioning the vocal extracts where they seemed to fit best. This left gaps of unequal length and requiring different stresses to complement the vocal and so I built the drums in the trusty ally I have in MusicStudio, currently my favourite app for composition. I actually built two tracks and then duplicated them and used different kits on the same midi notes, equivalent to re-amping a guitar track which is a technique I discovered in Amplitube. Had lots of fun melding these four drum tracks into the tabla and vocal bed, so much in fact, that I didn't leave breathing room for anything else much except rather restrained 12 string guitar picking in a drop D tuning (two tracks, one dry one with phasing and chorus fx) and two modest contributions of bass which I DI'd into MTDAW. To give an underlying pulse to the track I took one note from the lowest drum I could find and lowered the pitch still further and also lengthened it in TwistedWave.
I looped the result through the entire length of the track but had terrible trouble later trying to make it sound good in mp3 versions used for uploading to SoundCloud and so on. An important lesson learned here in finding that my track will sound wonderful in the native app prior to mixdown to the.wav file.

Then the.wav file sounds almost as good - but the mp3 sounds disappointingly sparse and distorted, especially in average earbuds. I have a new regime now to try and get an overall better mix. I first do the mix using headphones, then check it on my car stereo, then on my iPhone earbuds and finally compare all three instances against a commercially recorded track as a reference. I make notes of my impressions and then return to the mix and tweak it until the result is a pleasing compromise. Alessandro baricco questa storia pdf editor. I'm not an audiophile by any means and years of abuse to my ears has probably blunted their sensitivity (although thankfully I don't yet suffer from tinitus) but I still strive for my kind of perfection. So this track stumbled towards the light, not through the result of any white-hot creative frenzy but rather through a desire to somehow use the tabla sound I had temporarily fallen in love with - and the vocals were an unexpected bonus!
Description: Made on iphone's Beatmaker. I started making this after taking some DnB drum loops I had made and slowed em down 50%. This is my 4th computer made track, and I'm trying to focus on panning and mastering. So I'm particularly interested to hear feedback on those aspects.
I compressed the drum tracks a little, but it still seems a little loud. Also I question the tabla/congas section, I'm not sure it really fits into the groove.
So if you think I should pull it, say so. Loop credits: Dextdee-horn melody, Jinxedjunkie-fatty bassline, Djelfo-vox sample, Minor2go-vox sample, fusionroomrob-tablas and congas Only thing I did was the drums. Description: Draft3 - semifinal Though seemingly a cliche, everything in the universe is recycled. This is one of the implications of the first law of thermodynamics. This also corresponds to Shiva and his Cosmic Dream.
Steady beat provided by planetjazzbass loops (2), and one of the 2 dubbified tabla tracks is me. Midi sequences recycled include a free SoundFont of a pipe organ, the freeware VSTi Alieno, and DKS Asian DreamZ luan manipulated into something else. Seems to be some kind of recycled cosmic dance.
Draft2 - rekeyed the synth and organ samples. Draft2a - attempted adding a 'things fall apart' section, where the ensuing chaos returns to a sort of order via rhythm. I'm too close to it to tell. Draft2b - got great advice from alividlife and added two tracks of time stretched Alieno created loops.
Went after the 'things fall apart' and the end sequence. Feeling like it's getting close. Draft3 - reworked the 3:00 break and the end. Teased out further sonic interpretations of sounds of digestion and disassembly. Big thanks to alividlife for such brilliant suggestions. Description: At first with this one i was lost, just couldnt figure out how to incorperate the loops provided into a track!
But after some chopping and effects i maganged to use- bassloop 1,Pad 1 which was chopped and the smallest amount used but worked pretty effectivly, both synth loops, dusthills for the main synth, then chopped synth 2 with a slight phaser and wahwah added with some echo too and it suprised me how well and effective it turned out! The tabla loop thrown in for some background beat in the middle of the song, and the smallest insignificant woodwind loop that i chopped and reversed. I recorded my didgeridoo for the middle section, ive been meaning to get some into the mix so that good too. All with some nice dubstep style drum, so i spose ill put it in that genre! So i hope you all enjoy.
