Manual De Bomba Bosch Vp44 Fuel
This is the kind of info I'm looking for, but for the VRZ pump. COVEC-F Construction and Operation Manual (I've found the VRZ assembly/disassembly manual, and how to operate the service & calibration test equipment.but I'm looking for Construction and Operation Manual for the diagnostics info like in the COVEC-F manual. Specifically, it would be publication EE14E-11150 'VRZ Construction and Operation' Any help would be great. Hi marshall, cant help you, but what has happened to the paj????:dunno1: Nothing new. Same old problem of power varying. Have taken to a diesel injector and turbo specialist and they don't think it's injectors or pump, but as usual cant be sure until it's pulled apart.

I'm trying to find a failure mode of something that expains my symptoms. My gut feeling is an electrical issue related to pump. All sensors, including those in pump seem ok though. Given up on mechanics. No-one can find it. Am trying to figure it out myself now. Do not know if this helps but mentions the Zexel pump.
I am not a mechanic so it’s all greek to me. I got this link from the Pajero forum some time ago. It’s for the NM NP Montero but covers our V6 petrol and 4M41 diesel engines. (If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a folder called Engine 4M41.
Click on it and scroll down to page 30 of 105. That is where the description of the Zexel pump and it’s “IPB” Illustrated parts breakdown is located.
Never know it might be of some help. I came across some info on the Bosch VP44 injector pumps in dodges. There is evidence that damage occurs to the injector pump when the fuel pressure supplied by the lift pump is too low.
This happens because the diesel is the only form of cooling and lubrication in the injector pump. The fix was to replace the lift pump with a different one that pumped at a higher pressure.
I dont know if our pumps have the same issue but it is worth keeping in mind anyway. Does anyone know what fuel pressure is supplied to our injector pumps, or have a mut or another way to find out? I think it would be interesting to know to compare ours with the dodge in the link above. Here is another thread discussing problems with the furl pump. It might not help for this particular situation but I thought I would add some links for future reference. Edit more links.
Manuel EE14E-11161 link to South African Pajero forum thread with links for VRZ manuals Edit. I read somewhere that the Zexel VRZ is based on the Bosch VP37. I couldn't find much more info about that but if I find more I will link it. I read a few threads onnherecrecently in relation to issues with the diesel pumps and learnt a bit. There are two sensors on the front of the pump. Which if faulty won't throw a fault code, and if removed and checked show positive, but when on the car they can play up.
One of the sensors on the pump is basically a crank angle sensor replacement, on these cars, from what I gleamed from this particular thread, is that these motors don't have a crank angle sensor. It is on the front of the pump, can be intermittently faulty. One particular thread, after two diesel pumps new injectors, egr etc, they got the regional service manager in, the towed the owners boat, as this was when the car played up, they had a computer plugged in while driving, the car played up threw a code, it was this particular sensor, once replaced no more issues. Hope this helps. I read a few threads onnherecrecently in relation to issues with the diesel pumps and learnt a bit.

I have the Zexel Covec VRZ complete rebuild manual with specs. Cannot upload to forum keeps failing - 3Mb might be too large, PM me to send it to you. I have these though which would upload. What's wrong with the site? Whenever I try & open someones PDF it wants to open or save 'attachment.php'. On all computers & with all browsers.
